The Holland-Springfield Alumni Association Distinguished Alumnus Award recognizes a graduate each year at graduation ceremonies who has attained a high-level of success in his/her profession and/or made a significant contribution to humanity. The award is also meant to provide current Springfield High School students with positive role models.

In order to be nominated for this award, the candidate must be a graduate of Holland or Springfield High School and meet one or more of the following criteria:
